by Lynda Dunwell (Author)
Different takes on familiar tales is an anthology of short stories with a fantasy/fairy tale theme. Award winning short story writer, Lynda Dunwell has gathered together some of her favourite tales. She has taken well-known themes of childhood fairy tales and given them a modern twist. Most are sheer fantasy like, 'The Adventures of Spiegel's Hackers', the longest of the tales which is set in the Valley where life has become elitist, computerised and is about to fall under the control of Penny Hacker, Spiegel's creator. Other tales are much shorter, pure escapism and may not have quite the happy ever after ending expected.
