This collection of essays addresses theologies of mothering from the range of everyday as well as cataclysmic experiences that mothers encounter. These authors search for what is revealed, made new, deepened, or transformed when mothering and theological questions and categories wrestle with each other in the context of mothers' lives.

"This is a fascinating collection of heartfelt narratives of motherhood and theological-pastoral reflections on these experiences. Kudos to the writers for breaking the 'maternal silence' to foreground matricentric feminism!"
--Agnes M. Brazal. professor and research fellow, De la Salle University, Philippines

"From the sorrows and joys of maternal experiences around the world, these editors and authors offer a wider and deeper vision for grounding incarnational theologies in the embodied realities of everyday existence."
--Elizabeth O'Donnell Gandolfo, associate professor of Catholic and Latin American studies, Wake Forest University School of Divinity

"This book offers a profound exploration of motherhood as a theological journey. These brave and candid essays challenge patriarchal norms and present motherhood as a transformative lens for theological reflection."
--Judith Gruber, associate professor of systematic theology, KU Leuven, Belgium

"Brilliantly intersectional, nuanced, and insightful. This volume lifts 'the maternal' from feminist theology's 'too hard basket, ' confirming mothering as both socially and politically consequential as well as a profound site of encounter with God."
--Natalie Lindner, lecturer, Faculty of Theology and Philosophy, Australian Catholic University

Cristina Lledo Gomez is senior lecturer in Catholic systematic theology, holding the Presentation Sisters Chair at BBI-The Australian Institute of Theological Education. She is also research fellow for the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Charles Sturt University.

Julia H. Brumbaugh is associate professor of religious studies at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She holds a PhD from Fordham University in systematic theology.
