Desperate to understand the reasons I stayed in bad relationships or why I was never faithful to anyman, I started evaluating all the trauma in my life from childhood. I soon found out I never healed frompast hurts because I stayed in a state of Denial long-term and that was my coping mechanism. I had anexcuse for everything and everybody instead of owning my mistakes. I refused to accept the truth aboutmy marriage, love, faith, sex, my children, etc. I had to confront reality and face my issues head on aftermy life spiraled out of control, I was left to deal with the long-term consequences.
