Clifford Lee, lead singer and guitarist for grunge sensation Gnasher, is miserable. It's 1996, his band has reached the pinnacle of fame, his songs are on the radio, and he just won his first Grammy with his two best friends. On the outside, his life looks perfect, but he doesn't think he wants any of it anymore. He finds himself in a dive bar alone after the awards so he can wallow in his own self pity. While there, he meets Sylvie, a beautiful woman who doesn't know who he is, and doesn't seem to care. It's so refreshing to be around someone that doesn't care about his fame, and Cliff finds himself intoxicated with the idea of living a normal life. He's about to leave on tour, though, and she has no interest in being in a relationship with a rockstar. They agree to spend a few days together, no attachments and no pressure. The longer he stays in her orbit, though, the further he falls for her. With their predetermined goodbye quickly approaching, Cliff tries to figure out a way he can have both his life and Sylvie. Can these two figure out a way to lean into their undeniable chemistry, or will outside pressure force them apart forever?
