by Robert C. Kneip (Author)
Unless an understanding of creation is recentered in an orthodox, traditional context, it will continue to be impossible to effectively deal with the ethical ambiguity, moral relevance, and corrupted relationships that define much of contemporary culture. Robert Kneip makes a convincing case that by any measure the account of creation presented in Genesis differs so dramatically from any other origin myth that it must stand apart. What emerges is an authentic narrative that binds all of Scripture into a cohesive history of God's active involvement in the redemption and salvation of mankind. In so doing, humanity's role as his stewards becomes clear. Humanity's obligation to replace the cultural negotiations that constantly distort longstanding moral and ethical propositions with an authentic narrative based on God's moral and ethical imperatives should be the driving force in the lives of God's people.
