As the world settles into life amid the pandemic, and adjusts to the changes brought about by the lockdown, there is no question that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it tremendous change to the world as we know it. The question of immediate concern is how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting our present environment. Human activity is inextricable from the environment we live in, and as COVID-19 forces us to change the way we live, new efforts both good and bad have been observed as change occurs in every aspect of the environment that human activity is tied to. as well, the changes brought about COVID-19 will no doubt extend far into the future, likely changing human life as we know it. Everything from urban planning and architecture, to the way that industries run, are already in the process of change as people find creative ways to keep safe and around the constraints of quarantine. It goes without saying that the interactions between human and environment are complex and multi-faceted. However, through our analysis, we hope to communicate the bi-directionally of those interactions, and raise awareness of the way humans shape the environment, and how the environment in turn shapes humanity.
