A survey of cave sites in the regions of Caceres and Badajoz, Spain. The inventory of sites includes details on site locations and distributions, the characteristics of the various caves and the archaeological evidence for prehistoric occupation found within them. A detailed examination of many of the sites revealed evidence of occupation debris, animals bones, artefacts and/or engravings. A short conclusion collates the evidence from the Palaeolithic, Neolithic and Chalcolithic to Iron Age periods.
