Sometimes God prepares us for an assignment long before we recognize it.

The first time I walked into Dobbs Elementary, I wasn't there to become its principal.

I was there hoping to become a special education teacher.

I knew the principal.

I knew the special education coordinator.

The interview went well-or so I believed.

Working with students who struggled had always mattered to me. Some children needed someone who would not give up on them. They needed structure, consistency, and someone willing to believe in them until they learned to believe in themselves.
