Author Biography

Evan Baumel (born 1992) is a public policy writer who has experience in non-profit advocacy and Congressional affairs. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Legal Studies, Economics, and Government (CLEG) from American University's School of Public Affairs. Baumel has a strong background in political communications and public policy. He has contributed to a variety of blogs and periodicals on issues including the environment, health care, economics, law, and social media. Coming to DC from Florida, Baumel has come to appreciate the political atmosphere of Washington, DC. His experience on Capitol Hill has provided him a unique perspective of policies crafted by our members of Congress and their staff. This knowledge has culminated into his first literary venture, Broken Mast: Changing Course for the Capitalist Ship, which covers the greatest challenges to economic growth in the current marketplace.
