by M. D. Mascaro (Author)
Brandy Connor, feisty lead singer for White Noise, knows how to take care of herself and stand up to the guys in the band. She even has the guts to face the banshee who heralds her mother's death. But when a new and terrible wraith appears at the club during a gig, even Brandy gets stage fright. The sudden death of one of the patrons makes little sense to Brandy until she learns that she is inextricably connected to the stranger and the wraith that has arrived with him to awaken a family curse. When her brothers fall victim to unexplainable illnesses and accidents, Brandy plots her way to Ireland to search for a long-lost relation who holds the key to the mystery that has plagued the Connors for generations. Will Brandy find her in time to save her family?
Author Biography
Finishing college with a degree in English literature and three teaching certificates, it was inevitable that M D Mascaro would go to work in retail and sing in a rock band on the weekends. This kind of life experience made writing for teens a natural. That, plus the fact that she has never quite grown up. She is extremely proud of this and will therefore not tell you how many years she taught art in high school after the band broke up. For this opus, MD Mascaro traveled to the Irish National Library in Dublin to research Irish families and banshees. She loves research. She loves travel more. She loves writing off travel expenses to do her research. It's a win-win situation. As a child, M D Mascaro's parents told her she was sent to this planet by angry alien politicos who punished her for publishing the truth. She now writes fantasy to avoid getting into any more trouble. She resides in New Jersey with a son who is a wizard. Brandy and the Banshees is her first novel.
