Beeper is the story of a grackle who is abandoned by his own flock.

He is hatched by a robin named Rachel. He is adopted and cared for by Rachel Robin.

Because he is different, he is teased by the other robins.

As the story unfolds, Beeper does something that others in the flock could not do and becomes their hero.
