My daughter and I were fascinated by old barns and homesteads as we traversed our great country. The pictures in this book evoke a time in our country's history when life was hard and yet much simpler than it is today. Like all the pioneers who crossed America in the 1800s, my daughter is gone now, and so this book is dedicated to all of them and to her!
