Jim Doggett, a native Texan and direct descendent of founding families of Texas, was Nationally Certified as a casting instructor in 1994 by James "Chico" Fernandez and Lefty Kreh of the Federation of Fly Fishers. A former columnist, Jim lives on West Galveston Bay, and in the Texas Hill Country.
