An Introduction to Christian Apologetics - Hardcover

by David P. Smith (Author)

Benjamin Breckinridge Warfield (1851-1921) has long been considered by many to be America's most formidable biblical scholar and theologian and its stoutest defender of the Christian faith. Yet, his view and practice of apologetics has been routinely misunderstood and misrepresented. David P. Smith's Introduction to Christian Apologetics seeks to help remedy this by upholding Warfield's perspective on apologetics as the latter understood it in light of its organic relationship to all Christian doctrine. The organic union of apologetics to Christian discipleship and evangelism is explained and a fresh presentation made on how Christian doctrine is its own defense and offense. Systematic and practical theology come together in a powerful and provocative way in this groundbreaking work.
