Author Biography

Ambrose Massaquoi was born in the diamond-rich Tongo Fields of eastern Sierra Leone in 1964. He is a Fellow of Writing of the University of Iowa in the USA, where he participated in the International Writing Program in 1994. His poems and short stories have appeared in Sierra Leonean and international publications including "The Iowa Review," "100 Words," "Songs that Pour the Heart," "Kalashnikov in the Sun," and "Leoneathology". Massaquoi currently serves as director of Africa Centre for Theological Studies in Lagos, Nigeria.
