What are we doing here? More than a sense of purpose, more than a culmination of random acts of self-worth--made worthy often because someone else declared a set value. This book asks questions about connection, love, and moving forward when there appears to be no path in front of us. These poems attempt to piece together what we call life on Earth without judgement or fear. What does it mean to be indigestible? What does it mean when our emotions aren't obvious? What does it mean when our day to day becomes our entire life? What happens when the answers to long-supported questions are no longer the priority? Who do we become when accountability meets self-actualization?

Author Biography

Abby Armstrong is a queer, Southern writer born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. She is obsessed with horror, existentialism, and lesbian romance. She published her first book of poetry, The Blood, the Love, and the Uninterpretable in spring 2023 through The University of Alabama's Red Rook Press. She has also been published in Dewpoint, Marr's Field Journal, and Polaris Lit Magazine.
