by Stanley R. Silver (Author)

This is a philosophy book. It presents a philosophy of learning, or, more accurately, a philosophy of subjective learning, which is called accumulism. Accumulism neither solves nor explains. Rather it is a quiver of arrows; a chest of tools; a collection of wisdom and observations of human nature that can be used (or not) to learn a bit faster. The book will achieve its aim if each reader takes away but one new learning insight.

Author Biography

Stan Silver has been developing software for twenty years. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army, and has a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from M.I.T., with a concentration in feedback control theory. His curiosity about subjective learning was piqued when, after several years as a software developer, he realized he had no idea how to systematically improve software development.
