This book provides an account of the progress I have made over the five years since I experienced my stroke and was written to help those who suffer a stroke and, more importantly, to help others prevent a stroke. The book is not a textbook but simply the story of my struggle back from near death. It is not my intent to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge but merely to recount the experience faced when a stroke occurs. My goal has been to create a book to educate and inform people about stroke survival.
