Melvin T. Rusher, PhD, worked for the Federal Government as a Program Analyst and was an adjunct professor at South University, University of Phoenix, and Central Michigan University.

Both are co-authored along with Allan Tellis of a book titled A Brief History of Detroit Public High Schools from 1858 - 2012.
