A finite volume numerical method for solving 2D conduction in a rectangular plate using MATLAB - Paperback

A numerical simulation method of 2-dimensional heat diffusion, in a rectangular plate, using the finite volume method with a structured mesh and Cartesian coordinates, with different boundary conditions, using the MATLAB language as programming tool, was elaborated. The results obtained with MATLAB are compared with COMSOL, permit to determine the temperature distribution and the numerical solution of the heat equation.
