Author Biography

Antonio (Tonio) Centeio was born on the picturesque island of Fogo, Cape Verde, off the west coast of Africa. At age seven he immigrated to the U.S. with his mother and two brothers, all the while writing stories and expressions of his innermost thoughts and feelings, which eventually turned him in a poetic direction. Feeling a profound sense of freedom and wholeness whenever he completed a new poem or received enthusiastic responses from readers convinced him that poetry was his natural emotional outlet. In the future, he plans to write and produce Spanish soap operas. When not working or writing poetry, he enjoys listening to music, working out, spending time with friends and family, and simply enjoying life.
