A government agency blackmails him into working for them. Cliff's girlfriend confesses that she has a secret life she had been hiding from him. Cliff has a series of adventures and misadventures at various locations around Los Angeles, and when everything converges in a final life-threatening crisis, he rises to the occasion. He achieves the goals he was working toward, but doesn't realize the price he will pay until the end.
