He is the recipient of the RSC Meldola, Corday-Morgan and Tilden Prizes, Durham's Vice Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Teaching, the Bob Hay Lectureship, and the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award. \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eJerry L. Atwood\u003c\/b\u003e is the Curator's Distinguished Professor at the University of Missouri - Columbia. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1968 at the University of Illinois.
