Rubens turns the camera both on herself and her daughter Ruby--creating a visual enquiry into change, self-discovery, and the cycles of life. Deeply personal yet universally resonant, the body of work exposes the inevitability of time passing. This intimate collection of images captures the beauty and complexity of female experience through the intertwined lenses of family, aging, and identity. Rubens offers a poignant reflection on the physical and emotional shifts that shape women's lives--from adolescence to midlife, and beyond.
Author Biography

Nathalie Rubens is a fine-art photographer based in New York city and Dutchess County.
