In 2017 Xunise earned an Ignatz for Promising New Talent for their comic \u003ci\u003eSay Her Name, \u003c\/i\u003ean autobiographical story of police brutality and social justice. In 2020 Xunise earned their second Ignatz for their contribution to \u003ci\u003eBe Gay, Do Comics\u003c\/i\u003e published by IDW. Xunise has collaborated with \u003ci\u003eVogue\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eThe Washington Post\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eThe Nib\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eBeliever Magazine\u003c\/i\u003e.
