It is one of those books that come into existence for the simple purpose of correcting a misnomer along the line of history. The author, Karamoh Kabba, committed himself to restoring the definitional character of Timbuktu, seeking to redefine black civilization; that is, in addition to that city's reputation of great wealth and sound education. A good name, it is said, is better than riches.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eAuthor Biography\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eKaramoh Kabba was born in Koidu New Sembehun city, Kono District in Sierra Leone. He attended the Government Secondary School for Boys, Magburaka, Tonkolili District, Sierra Leone and Montgomery College, USA. He is a writer, novelist and social\/political commentator. He is the author of \"A Mother's Saga,\" \"Lion Mountain\" and \"Morquee - A Political Drama of Wish over Wisdom.\" Many of his creative short stories, perspectives and analyses on social and political issues have been published in renowned international literary magazines and major news outlets worldwide. Karamoh Kabba returned home to Sierra Leone and joined the Government of Sierra Leone in 2008 as National Coordinator of Open Government Initiative (OGI).
