He taught at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Humboldt State University, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received multiple awards for teaching and research, including Professor of the Year. A founding board member of Postpartum Support International, he helped develop resources that continue to support families around the world.
