Obtuvo títulos en Historia (Universidad de Bolonia), Teología (ETCW, Bridgend, Gales) y Bioética (Universidad de Padua). Su doctorado es del King's College (Londres); fue publicado como Evangelical Theological Perspectives on Post-Vatican II Roman Catholicism.
